DE shift PE

Micron Technology seeks a Dry Etch Shift PE Engineer to innovate memory solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing process quality, improving yield and efficiency, reducing costs, and resolving line issues in your designated area. You will collaborate with equipment team members, area leaders, and shift operations leaders to ensure the successful implementation of critical area priorities.

Safety & Quality

Complete all required safety training and conduct all work in accordance with safety policies and regulations.Perform and facilitate audits, submitting good catches on safety and quality issues found.Build and maintain a safe and high-quality work environment.Follow documentation and accurate change management practices to meet safety and quality expectations.Ensure accurate tool documentation/reaction mechanisms exist and submit updates as needed.

Manufacturing Performance

Develop shift game plans with area and shift leaders, communicating necessary deviations urgently.Complete area operations to ensure efficiency needs are met.Resolve or advance issues that could cause yield loss, excursions, defects, tool restrictions, or output loss quickly.Apply SPC, FDC, and 8D methodology to process optimization, testing, crafting, and modifying process-related procedures, and disposition of lots.Monitor, analyze, and address SPC issues for area processes daily, partnering with Process Owners to resolve chronic SPC failures.Analyze data using various applications and engineering knowledge to make critical process decisions.Perform project work to optimize wafer processing and increase area wafer outs.Coordinate and lead area projects, facilitating meetings with collaborators, tracking action items, and coordinating resources for timely action closure.Apply data analytics for providing accurate data for area improvement projects and identifying chronic process/manufacturing issues.Provide troubleshooting support on shift for complex or chronic process issues.Prepare and communicate effective passdowns for oncoming shifts, ensuring they understand area priorities and concerns.

Support Training and Documentation

Update or help build procedures to align with area and global practices, supporting training and daily execution.Ensure assessor checklists and other documents are kept up to date.Participate in the integration of new learning items in the area(s), performing area assessments and certifications on time.Identify the need and help build training references.Collaborate with supervisors and area leaders to build personal performance and development goals.

Successful Candidates must have the following Qualifications

Proficient in troubleshooting the Fab process flow related to area equipment/processes.Outstanding problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to efficiently coordinate tasks and projects.Strong communication and coordination abilities to work across various functional teams.In-depth understanding and working knowledge of SPC and Design of Experiments.Proficient in one or more scripting, programming, and visualization tools: Python, Java, Tableau, Matlab, Microsoft Suite.Advanced problem-solving skills with a strong intuition for data and data visualization.Experience or knowledge of data collection, warehousing systems, and data cleansing.Hands-on experience in data analytics, preferably with experience querying databases.Flexibility to work any shift and rotate shifts as needed (allowing for flexibility around school schedules where applicable).

Education & Experience

Required: BS or MS or equivalent experience in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or Physics. Other engineering or related fields may be considered.
