ICT Technician KL Job ID 225310 Posted 18-Jun-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Construction, Data Centers, Engineering/Maintenance Location(s) Kuala Lumpur - Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia **About the Role:** As CBRE Information & Communications Technology Service Delivery Technician, you will provide on-site support for the ICT and Engineering services within the Data Center environment. This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments. **What You’ll Do:** + Provide physical support for IT hardware, including **servers, switches, storage, and cabling.** + Perform **structured cabling (copper and fiber) installation, patching, labeling, and testing.** + Assist with **rack and stack** of data center equipment, including mounting, cabling, and powering up. + Respond to service requests, incidents, and change orders within agreed timeframes. + Monitor environmental and power conditions and escalate anomalies to relevant teams. + Ensure physical security compliance and support escorted access for third-party vendors. + Maintain accurate documentation of assets, cabling, and work completed. + Collaborate with remote teams to troubleshoot network and hardware issues. + Follow health, safety, and operational protocols at all times. **What You’ll Need:** + Diploma or certification in ICT, Electrical Engineering, or related field. + 1–2 years’ experience in a data center or technical support environment. + Hands-on experience with **structured cabling** , basic networking, and hardware support. + Understanding of ITIL or service delivery frameworks is a plus. + Familiarity with ticketing systems and change management tools. + Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive, customer-focused mindset. + Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs), and work in confined or elevated spaces. + Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or on-call rotations as required.
