ICQA Area Manager, Worldwide Operations

We are looking to hire an ICQA Area Manager (Entry Level Position) to be part of our new Storage and Distribution Center (SDC) Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team in Toluca, Mexico. This entry-level leadership role is perfect for recent graduates or professionals starting their management career. Our SDC sits at the heart of Amazon's rapidly growing operations network, serving as a crucial link in our supply chain by managing and distributing inventory to our Fulfillment Centers (FCs). In our SDC, our teams manage receiving operations, strategic storage, and efficient distribution to FCs; each of these groups plays a vital role in maintaining our network's efficiency. The SDC is a fast-paced and high reward environment, where adherence to policies and procedures is key. We need a leader that ensures reliable delivery to our FC network while maintaining customer obsession through precise inventory management.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of hourly Associates (including Team Leads and Data Analyst) assigned to inventory control, quality assurance and problem solve operations within the site.
- Support safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates. Work with Operations and other Support teams to establish, influence and adhere to policies and procedures.
- Coordinate inventory control, quality assurance and problem solve operations in accordance to network strategies and ensuring compliance and consistency with SOX.
- Conduct shift planning and forecasting, alongside assigning and directing work.
- Oversee projects to streamline processes, increase quality and optimize productivity.
- Ensure KPIs are reviewed on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis and perform quality analysis on any behaviors/processes that could impact inventory integrity and Customer esperience.
- Gain expertise in key SDC process paths and its exceptions handling in order to drive processes continuous improvement alongside the operations management team.
- Support in interviewing and training fulfillment center managers and associates, developing talent and hiring the next generation of managers.

A day in the life
As an ICQA Area Manager at our new SDC, you'll experience dynamic and varied days focused on driving inventory excellence. Your day begins by reviewing overnight performance metrics and leading your team's stand-up meeting, where you'll set clear objectives and address any immediate inventory concerns. Throughout the morning, you'll be actively engaged on the operations floor, coaching your team of associates, monitoring inventory control processes, and ensuring quality standards are maintained in receiving and storage operations.

The afternoon might involve analyzing inventory discrepancy reports, coordinating with FC partners about specific inventory needs, and leading problem-solving sessions with your team. You'll spend time conducting inventory audits, implementing process improvements, and ensuring your team meets accuracy targets.

We're launching an exciting new operation in Mexico - our first Storage and Distribution Center (SDC) in the country! This represents a significant milestone in Amazon's growth in Latin America, and you'll be part of the founding team that will shape the future of our upstream operations in the region.

This team will play a crucial role in Amazon's supply chain network, managing the strategic storage and distribution of inventory to multiple Fulfillment Centers across Mexico. We're focused on operational excellence, innovative solutions, and continuous improvement as we establish this key node in our logistics network.
