**Job Description:**
**Duties and Responsibilities**
+ The growth in sales and market share of all hardware and traditional channel accounts in a designated market areas.
+ Operate within the budget guidelines established by the regional manager.
+ Penetrate target accounts with a complete broad representation of Milwaukee products.
+ Identify and execute upon opportunities within the territory to convert product categories to Milwaukee from competitive brands.
+ Identify potential new distributors for market penetration and growth.
+ Continuously seek alternative solutions through the creative implementation of company programs and promotions to capture competitive market share.
+ Build and deliver compelling sales presentations that drive customers to take action.
+ Maintain up-to-date opportunity funnel that delivers on overall category goals, utilizing CRM to manage customer targets and sales conversion opportunities.
+ Building value added relationships with assigned distributor accounts in the region.
+ Develop and be accountable for the execution of customized marketing plans and strong business relationships for select accounts.
+ Support strategic initiatives at the branch location level of large regional multi-branch distributors & regional hubs of National multi-branch customers.
+ Leverage Milwaukee programs and promotions in the creative design of sell-through promotions that meet the customer’s strategic needs and capture market share.
+ Implement selling tactics that focus on delivering the desired financial results to distribution.
+ Provide appropriate training for distribution sales staff in the areas of product, application and users.
+ Deliver required communication to the Milwaukee team necessary for local execution of programs and promotions for multi-branch accounts.
+ The professional development of his/her Milwaukee Sales Career.
+ Work continuously to learn and implement the Milwaukee Consultative Sales Process in the development of his/her sales skills.
+ Cooperate with the Regional Manager’s efforts to train, coach & mentor for continuous improvement in his/her sales performance.
+ Develop goals and self-evaluate performance toward achieving those goals.
+ Develop superior knowledge of the market place (users, applications, products, competition, channels).
+ Utilize technology such as laptops and eSales program within the guidelines of managing the target accounts as established by sales management.
+ Delivering the brand message to end users and distribution.
+ Support and implement strategic corporate brand marketing initiatives.
+ Cultivate end user demand and build brand champions through end user calls, creative sell-through programs and training.
+ Providing feedback from the field related to:
+ Competition, end users, channels of distribution, applications and products.
+ Effectiveness of policies and programs.
+ Physical Job Demands
+ Stand/walk approximately 50-90% of work day;
+ Regularly lift/push/pull/carry materials and tools weighing up to 25 pounds;
+ Occasionally lift tools up to 75 pounds;
+ Frequently set-up and operate displays of tools – requiring use of hands, bending and/or kneeling and/or crouching, and/or stooping;
+ Have the ability to operate equipment with severe vibration and strong torque;
+ Will be expected to drive a car to and from customers – up to five hours at a time;
+ Sitting 10-50% of work day in car; or, at desk for 4-10 hours per week;
+ Key in computer data 4-6 hours/week;
+ Normal vision/peripheral vision required to safely operate powered hand tools and drive a vehicle;
+ Able to talk and hear effectively, read and write;
+ This position is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions as well as loud noise.
Education and Experience Requirements
+ Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field or educational equivalent.
+ Must Meet or Exceed levels of performance in a Territory Representative position or minimum of 2-3 years of equivalent outside sales experience.
+ CRM experience preferred.
+ Must be able to perform the essential functions and physical demands of the job with or without accommodation.
+ Must show competency in Product Knowledge and Application Knowledge
+ Complete development program administered and directed by Regional Manager.
+ Complete Training program outlined, which includes attending basic selling and product training at METCO headquarters.
+ Must be skilled in the development of account specific strategic planning, development and delivery of compelling sales presentations and understand customer financial analysis.
+ Must be proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
+ Must possess effective business communication skills, broad business perspective and market savvy.
+ Demonstrate overall business acumen and understanding of territory, regional and national effects of local market plan and promotions.
+ Requires a valid driver’s license
+ Ability to travel overnight up to 35% of time.
