IC&E Designer

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position **IC&E Designer** through **July 10th, 2025,** at **11:59 p.m.** ( **PDT** ).
The IC&E Designer is a member of the IC&E Design & Drafting team within DM&C Operations Performance, Technical – Design Engineering vertical. The role partners with IC&E engineering teams within both the refinery site organization and the DM&C Operations Performance organization to provide design / drafting capability in support of engineering deliverables.
**Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:**
+ Field work to identify and verify availability and appropriate routing of instrumentation control wiring (loops), appropriate placement / installation of instruments, junction boxes, monitoring and control equipment, etc.
+ Working knowledge of process instrumentation and controls, including DCS / SCADA / PLC systems.
+ Design capabilities for electrical power systems such as motor control circuits, protective relays and wiring, etc
+ SmartPlant Instrumentation database interface and design deliverables
+ Generation of IFA and IFC design drawings as required by engineer for work package deliverables. AutoCAD proficiency.
+ Development of bills of material as required for non-engineered items required for work package and/or interface and implementation of equipment specified by engineer.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Minimum 8-10 years Instrument & Electrical (I&E) design experience or a minimum 6 years I&E design experience plus 4 years of related field experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Minimum of 4 years work experience in a refinery, process plant, or similar industrial environment.
+ Experience collecting as-built information in operating facilities.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience with AutoCAD software and/or 3D Modeling software.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Minimum of 4 years design experience in onshore oil and gas.
+ Demonstrated skilled competency level to provide technical support for a refinery, process plant, or similar industrial environment.
+ Experience leading and mentoring technical teams in support of refinery, process plant, or similar industrial environment design applications.
+ Experience with SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI).
+ Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and/or CADWorx.
+ Ability to develop BOMs to support design packages.

+ The anticipated salary range for this position is $101,700 – $175,200 . The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on their skills, experience, and qualifications.
