As a Digital Sales Specialist, you will be at the forefront of IBM’s digital sales initiatives, leveraging your technical and sales skills to drive the strategic growth of IBM’s Software and Infrastructure. You'll work with clients, to shape the future of their technology landscape, advising and supporting on client engagements throughout the critically important early phases of the sales cycle and helping to lead prospects to our award winning cloud solutions. Leveraging a broad ecosystem of business partners and colleagues you will ensure timely closure of identified business. As we help you combine your technical education with consultative sales best practices, you will accelerate enterprises' success by providing award winning solutions across Data & AI, Cloud, Sustainability, Automation and many more.
**Your role and responsibilities**
Your primary role as a Digital Sales Representative within IBM's Data & AI brand will involve identifying potential clients, understanding their business needs, and presenting tailored IBM solutions that leverage AI and data analytics to drive efficiencies, innovation, and profitability. You will help to provide solutions that enable people across organizations, in multiple roles, the ability to turn data into actionable insights without having to wait for IT. And it means helping to sell multi-award winning software, and world-class design practices that enables business analysts to ask new questions. The answers to which are literally shaping the future and changing the world. You'll collaborate with colleagues across the Sales team.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Collaboration with IBM Ecosystem: Collaborate with the broader IBM sales ecosystem, from Marketing to Sales and technical colleagues, to IBM Business Partners.
• Develop Collaborative Campaigns: Leverage the Ecosystem to develop business campaigns and new and up/cross-sell sales opportunities within your defined client & partner territory
• Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales process and ensure delivery against KPIs, with a strong emphasis on new business sales, while expanding existing accounts.
• Forecasting and Deal Closures: Predicting deal closures and effectively communicating forecasts.
• Use-Case Development: Creating use-cases and proofs of concept in response to client RFIs.
• Value Proposition Presentation: Compellingly presenting high-level value propositions.
• Solution-Selling: Learn and employ solution-selling techniques to identify and engage decision makers and influencers, qualify business opportunities, and respond to clients' needs.
• Client relationship management: Manage a dedicated client set and define, confirm and communicate the differentiated value of IBM's technology at both the technical and business level.
• Business Partner relationship management: Manage IBM partner relationships, ensuring mutual growth and business objectives alignment.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Education: Completed technical or business administration degree, minimum requirement is a Bachelor's Degree.
* Communication and Language Skills: Possess excellent communication and presentation skills that are engaging, compelling and influential.
* English: Full professional proficiency
* German: Native proficiency
* Analytical Skills with a focus on using data for decision-making and achieving positive business outcomes.
* Team player with a collaborative spirit, able to work across multiple functions and levels within IBM and partners.
* Previous experience in Sales (1-3 years), as Business Developer and/or Territory Account Manager would be beneficial.
* Understanding of the IT industry
