**Introduction** At IBM, Technical Solution Architects work to understand needs and then create complex high-quality solutions that make meaningful impact. You’ll be responsible for overall leadership and delivery of the solutions from requirement gathering through implementation. You’ll use your in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technologies along with industry and business skills to influence outcomes. **Your role and responsibilities** This technical role is focused on providing Security subject matter expertise to assist with architecting first-class IBM Cloud technical solutions on complex pre & post-sale opportunities including client critical situations and onboarding acceleration. This role involves occasional travel. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Experience in designing and implementing security controls within cloud, enforcing security policies to protect sensitive data and applications. * Provide technical guidance on cloud security architecture, identity and access management, encryption, and network security. * Assess and mitigate risks associated with cloud workloads, ensuring regulatory and compliance alignment (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.). * Collaborate closely with Technical Sales, DevOps, and Security teams. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Expertise in IAM, encryption, firewall policies, security automation, and SIEM integration. * Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS, SOC 2, etc.). * Experience with container security (OpenShift, Kubernetes) and hybrid cloud environments. * Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, IBM Security Certifications) are a plus. * Hands-on experience with IBM Cloud Security & Compliance Center, Key Protect, Secrets Manager, practical experience with IBM Cloud security services and architectures is beneficial.
