**About the Opportunity**
We are seeking a visionary Operations Director to lead the Integrated Asset Care (IAC) Framework at Sellafield to its planned completion in July 2027 and guide its transition into the 15-year PACE successor program. This high-impact role within OneAIM, a joint venture between Amentum and Mitie, oversees a £250M portfolio of mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering works. Based on-site in Cumbria, the Framework Director will drive delivery with pride, ensuring safety, legacy, and opportunities are maximised for the site, workforce, and wider community.
**Key Responsibilities**
The Operations Director will demonstrate strategic leadership and delivery by driving performance across complex engineering programmes, ensuring alignment with long-term objectives and stakeholder expectations. A relentless focus on safety, quality, assurance, and ethics will underpin all activities, fostering a culture of zero harm, regulatory excellence, and integrity. With an entrepreneurial mindset, the role will actively seek and unlock new opportunities, both within and beyond the framework, maximising value through innovation, collaboration, and proactive client engagement. Through a commitment to operational excellence, the Framework Director will optimise resources, enhance capability, and deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes that reflect the pride and further cement the pride & professionalism of the OneAIM team.
**Accountability**
The Operations Director will be accountable for delivering high standards across key performance areas: driving HSSE excellence with a zero-harm mindset; ensuring robust financial delivery through accurate forecasting and cost control; leading growth and development by securing new opportunities and expanding client value; optimising resource management to build and retain a capable, motivated workforce; enhancing project effectiveness through consistent delivery on time, cost, and quality; and maintaining strong customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and responsive service.
**Key Deliverables**
+ Operational Unit performance reporting.
+ Staff development plans and performance reviews.
+ Key Supply Chain Relationship management & implementation of audit and review outcomes.
+ Skills forecasting and resource planning.
+ Contribution to strategic planning processes (SRP, Roadmap).
+ Representation at NAECI & CIJC Contractor Forums, with experience of working in a unionised environment.

**Skills & Qualifications**
+ Degree in engineering or related discipline (preferred).
+ Deep understanding of regulated environments and nuclear safety.
+ Proven experience in senior operational leadership roles.
+ Strong commercial acumen and functional awareness.
