We are currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic North America Benefit Specialist to join our team. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that benefit programs are properly supported and compliant with regulatory agencies (Federal, State, Local, etc) and to assist our employees with inquiries related to US/Canada benefits and provide solutions in timely manner.
Key Accountabilities:
In-depth knowledge of US and/or Canada benefits system and requirements including state regulations and medical leavesExperience with annual enrollment process for health and welfare benefitsExperience managing regulatory changes in benefit space in an environment where administration is outsourced to vendor and automated, to ensure processes are compliant with the changesExperience managing / reviewing multiple vendors and respective systems / data to ensure data accuracy and compliancesDisability & absence/leave programs – understand policy and impact to employeeReconciliation of benefit activities to ensure payroll deductions are timely and accurateReconciliation of data from payroll and benefit vendor systemsFunding related to benefit plans (retirement, health & welfare, wellness, etc)Using case management system, understand and respond to employee inquiries related to US/Canada benefits including Health & welfare, Retirement/401k, Leave/Disability in timely/accurate manner
Who you are:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Marketing, or other Business discipline3+ years of retirement plan/benefits experience2+ years of experience with federal and state benefit laws and regulationsStrong US and/or Canada benefits system and regulationsStrong knowledge in the disability process and experience managing the regulatory landscape ensuring policies and programs are compliantExperience working in environment where processes are automated and conducted via self-service model with limited manual data entry process
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading / managing process change from manual to automated processes via integration of vendor / internal systemsExperience reconciling deductions taken vs deductions expectedExperience reconciling and processing invoices for vendor servicesExperience processing multi-state US and multi-province Canada payStrong reconciliation skills using excel requiredStrong organizational skills requiredAbility to multi-taskFluent English language skills requiredExperience within a Shared Service Center preferredStrong ability to work in an international team and intercultural sensitivityAbility to identify process improvement
