Job Description
The I&C Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining utility scale solar photovoltaic electric systems. This includes monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairing the plant's electrical and mechanical equipment, among other duties.
ResponsibilitiesRepair plant electrical and mechanical equipment.Apply principles of logical thinking to solve encountered situations.Perform physically demanding activities such as climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting heavy equipment while working safely in all types of weather.Essential SkillsHigh school graduate or equivalent.2-year college/technical degree or equivalent relevant work experience.Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsElectrical background is highly preferred.Strong technical background in electrical and electronic devices and equipment.Knowledge of AC/DC power, circuit boards, actuators, and inverters.Work EnvironmentThe position is based at a Solar Farm, where the technician will work with electrical, troubleshooting, and repair tasks related to solar panels and preventive maintenance. The role requires the ability to perform physically demanding activities in various weather conditions.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
