We are seeking outstanding I&C Technician join our leading renewable energy client, To apply specialist I&C expertise in order to ensure the efficient operations of the I&C Department at the Facility and to assist I&C Engineer is ensuring that all I&C equipment is well maintained and all notifications of planned and unplanned work are completed on time. Key Responsibilities: Ensures all necessary precautions are taken by himself and Contractors while undertaking any jobs in the Power Plant. Ensures that all necessary tools are available to ensure the safe working on equipment and used during the performance on all jobs at the Plant. Point out any unsafe conditions to I&C Engineer. Completes all work orders generated in Maximo/SAP as directed by the I&C Engineer. Works with Plant Operations Personnel for resolving problems encountered with I&C equipment under the guidance of I&C Engineer. Generates reports (mainly log sheets/check sheets) as necessary for the maintenance done. Ensure that maintenance of all I&C equipment is in accordance with OEM Manuals for the equipment. Supports reliable and accessible 24-hour call-out functionality. Ensures necessary tooling is available at work sites during performance on any job.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements: N3 Certificate is essential for this role. Trade/Technical Training School (Qualified Electronics or Instrumentation Artisan). National Diploma Engineering (added advantage). At least 10-year experience in the I&C maintenance of a large, combined cycle power plant, 3 of which must have been in the capacity of I&C Technician. Use of computerized maintenance management system. Experience in the maintenance and repair of major rotating equipment. Experience in the maintenance and repair of motor, hydraulic and air operated control/stop valves. Must have some degree of skill in Business Computing Applications such as Databases, Word Processors, Spreadsheets, PowerPoint and Maintenance Management System.
