Project Hydrogeologist
Location: Berkeley, CA (with travel to project sites throughout Northern California)
Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Hydrogeologist to lead, manage, and contribute to technically challenging environmental projects across Northern California. This role is based in our Berkeley office and offers the opportunity to work on diverse and impactful environmental remediation and site redevelopment projects.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology or Geology
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience working on environmental remediation sites, primarily in environmental hydrogeology
+ Strong knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations
+ Experience with site redevelopment projects
+ Strong communication, interpersonal, computer, and quantitative skills
+ Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
+ Experience supervising and mentoring technical staff
+ California professional registration required
+ Valid California driver’s license with a clean DMV record
Preferred:
+ Experience in water resources and technical issues related to groundwater basin management

Responsibilities:
+ Develop and execute all aspects of project management, including scopes of work, scheduling, and budgeting
+ Interact with clients and regulatory agency staff to ensure project success
+ Participate in business development activities and prepare proposals
+ Supervise and mentor technical staff to foster growth and maintain high standards
+ Prepare, edit, and review project documents, work plans, and technical reports
+ Lead field teams conducting:
+ + Field sampling and hydraulic testing
+ Contaminant characterization in soil and groundwater
+ Stratigraphic, geologic, and hydrogeologic analysis
+ Development of groundwater elevation and contaminant plume maps
+ Develop hydrogeologic conceptual models
+ Design and analyze hydraulic tests, instrumentation, and monitoring systems
+ Oversee the design and installation of wells
+ Conduct numerical and analytical modeling of groundwater and vadose zone flow and transport

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
