About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Hydrogeologist to lead, manage, and contribute to technically complex environmental projects across Northern California. Based in our Berkeley office, this role offers an opportunity to work on a wide variety of remediation and hydrogeologic challenges and play a pivotal role in the success of our environmental programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and execute environmental projects, including scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and team coordinationLead field efforts for hydraulic testing, soil and groundwater sampling, and well design/installationDevelop hydrogeologic conceptual models and conduct groundwater and vadose zone flow and transport modelingInterpret geologic and hydrogeologic data, including stratigraphy, groundwater elevation, and contaminant plume mappingInterface with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams, providing technical leadership and consultationPrepare, review, and edit technical reports, work plans, and regulatory deliverablesParticipate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentationsSupervise and mentor junior technical staff and multidisciplinary project teams
Required Qualifications:
B.S. in Hydrogeology, Geology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental remediation and hydrogeologic investigationsCalifornia Professional Geologist (PG) or Certified Hydrogeologist (CHG) licenseValid California driver’s license and an acceptable DMV recordIn-depth knowledge of California and federal environmental regulationsExperience in site redevelopment and environmental project permittingStrong skills in data interpretation, modeling, and technical writingExcellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in groundwater basin management and water resources projectsProficiency in analytical and numerical groundwater modeling softwareFamiliarity with geochemical processes and natural attenuation assessments

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
