As a Youth Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing direct counseling and case management services to youth between the ages of 2 – 17 and their families. This community-based position emphasizes holistic support, including connecting clients with natural supports and local resources. You will deliver mental health and crisis intervention services across diverse settings such as homes, schools, and community locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide counseling and case management services for enrolled youth and their families Support client and family to connect to natural supports and community-based resources Provide crisis intervention and other mental health services as needed at client homes, schools, and other community locations Participate in all treatment reviews, program staff meetings, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings when necessary Complete mental health notes and other paperwork, and complete service tracking documentation as indicated Assist with planning arrangements and transportation for school, therapy appointments, and court hearings as needed Attend team meetings, weekly trainings, individual and group supervisions, and adhere to clinical best practices Participate in providing emergency on-call response as scheduled
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree or equivalent + 1 year of applicable experience OR High School Diploma/GED + 2 years of applicable experience Applicable experience can include paid or unpaid experience working with youth or families or working in the social services field Flexible schedule with the ability to work some evening hours as needed Be part of a rotating emergency on-call system, scheduled with supervisor ahead of time Must be at least 21 years of age Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirementsPREFERRED
Bilingual Spanish skill set Reliable in maintaining on-call responsibilities and follow-through with clients and team commitments Skilled in coordinating care, managing resources, and following through with service plans
SCHEDULE
Full-time Option 1: Sunday - Thursday, 1:30pm - 10pm Option 2: Tuesday - Saturday, 1:30pm - 10pm Flexible schedule with the ability to work some evening hours as needed Hybrid; provide in-person services & complete documentation remotely
