We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Skilled Trades Recruiter to support talent acquisition efforts focused on sourcing experienced trades professionals ready to transition into instructor roles. This hybrid contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping skilled individuals share their expertise with the next generation.
Key ResponsibilitiesCandidate Sourcing & ScreeningUtilize job boards, social media, networking events, and other sourcing strategies to identify and evaluate qualified candidates for skilled trades instructor roles (e.g., HVAC Technicians, Electricians, Welders). Flexibility to source for other roles as needed.Prepare and present candidate profiles to hiring managers.Client & Candidate LiaisonPartner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies. Coordinate interviews and feedback, acting as the main point of contact between candidates and hiring teams.Job Advertising & PostingCreate and maintain compelling job listings across various platforms, ensuring alignment with role requirements and organizational culture.Candidate Selection & PlacementAssess candidates, manage offer letter processes (including pay and start dates), and guide candidates through the hiring journey to ensure smooth transitions.Onboarding SupportCollaborate with hiring managers to facilitate successful onboarding of new hires, tracking progress and integration.Recruitment Compliance & DocumentationMaintain accurate candidate records and ensure compliance with employment laws and recruitment regulations.Cold Calling & Relationship BuildingProactively engage with potential candidates to expand the talent pool and build lasting relationships that support a strong employer brand.ATS & Recruitment TrackingUse applicant tracking systems to manage pipelines, monitor hiring progress, and maintain up-to-date records.Technology UtilizationLeverage recruiting platforms and tools to enhance efficiency and maintain a strong online presence to connect with top talent.Qualifications+3 years of experience in recruiting or staffing for skilled trades or educational roles.Proven success in sourcing and placing candidates in fields such as HVAC, electrical, welding, and other trades.Greenhouse experience is a plus.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Results-oriented mindset with a proactive approach.Familiarity with employment laws and recruitment regulations is a plus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
