Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the evolution of our IT environment into a cloud-first, scalable, and secure architecture. This role is heavily centered on Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, and modern identity and endpoint management. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of operations and engineering, applying best practices in cloud security, performance optimization, and platform scalability.
Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure
Design, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.Build and maintain secure Azure Landing Zones using Policy and Blueprints.Administer core Azure services: Azure AD, VNets, NSGs, storage accounts, and backups.Monitor usage, optimize costs, and enforce governance policies.Infrastructure-as-Code & Automation
Implement IaC pipelines using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.Automate infrastructure provisioning and updates using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.Create reusable scripts and modules using PowerShell and Azure CLI.Modern Endpoint Management
Deploy and manage Microsoft Intune for MDM and MAM.Lead Windows Autopilot deployments for zero-touch device provisioning.Implement compliance policies, configuration profiles, and endpoint security (BitLocker, Defender).Virtualization & Hybrid Infrastructure
Support legacy virtualization environments using VMware and Hyper-V as needed.Migrate on-prem workloads to Azure and support hybrid connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute).Security, Monitoring & Incident Response
Apply zero-trust principles using Conditional Access, Azure AD, and RBAC.Implement proactive monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor and third-party tools (e.g., Splunk, Darktrace).Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation planning.Performs other duties as assigned.
* This position is Hybrid at our Tempe location.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, information systems, or relevant degree. In lieu of a degree relevant skills and certifications may be considered.3+ years in infrastructure or systems engineering roles.3+ years of deep, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting (PowerShell, Bicep, Terraform).Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and modern endpoint security.Strong grasp of cloud identity and access management.Preferred:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or higher.VMware VCP certification.Experience with Remote Monitoring and Management systems.Familiarity with SIEM tools like Splunk, Darktrace, or Microsoft Sentinel.Soft Skills
