Houston, TX Position Summary: The Hybrid Claims/Safety Intake Specialist supports the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team by managing the intake and coordination of work-related incidents, injuries, property damage, and safety events across our nationwide HVAC operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring that incidents are reported promptly and accurately, supporting both compliance and proactive claims management efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a background in claims or safety within a skilled trade or field service environment. Our employee benefits packages include: Competitive pay $45k tp $53,000 Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription coverage Paid vacation and holidays 401(K) match Life insurance, AD&D and long-term disability Tuition reimbursement Opportunities available nationwide Employee discounts on vehicles, hotels, theme parks, select cell phone bills and so much more Pet Insurance Legal Plan, and ID Theft Protection Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Claims Intake & Coordination (Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Auto): - Serve as the first point of contact for incident and injury reporting from field technicians, branch managers, or HR. - Intake and submit workers’ compensation, auto, and liability claims to third-party administrators (TPAs) or insurance carriers. - Gather and verify documentation, such as technician statements, work orders, vehicle photos, and wage information. - Maintain internal claim logs, update tracking systems, and support reporting requirements. Safety Incident Reporting & Support: - Log and categorize all safety incidents, near misses, OSHA-reportable events, and property damage. - Collaborate with field operations to ensure accurate and timely submission of safety incident reports. Communication & Collaboration: - Communicate professionally with technicians, field managers, claims adjusters, and safety leadership. Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience in claims, safety reporting, or risk management—preferably in HVAC, construction, or field services. - Familiarity with workers’ compensation, general liability, and auto claims handling. - High level of discretion and professionalism when dealing with confidential and sensitive information. - Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to follow up and ensure accountability across field teams. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with claims/safety software a plus (e.g., RiskTrac, Velocity). - Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. Qualifications Work Environment: Hybrid role: Remote work with occasional office days or field visits (as needed).
