Overview

We are seeking a domain expert Hardware Product Validation Engineer to join our Smart Wearables team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Image Signal Processing (ISP) and extensive experience validating camera performance metrics including Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), Modulation Transfer Function (MTF), Field of View (FOV), distortion, and sharpness. Experience with Image Quality Assessment (IMA) tests using various charts is essential.

 

Work Experience

Key Responsibilities

Lead validation efforts for camera and display modules in smart wearable devices.Design and execute comprehensive test plans to evaluate camera performance parameters such as EIS, MTF, FOV, distortion, and sharpness.Conduct Image Quality Assessment (IMA) tests using various standardized charts and interpret results to ensure product quality.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware design, firmware, and software to troubleshoot and optimize camera and display performance.Develop and maintain automated test scripts and tools, preferably using Python, to streamline validation processes.Analyze test data and generate detailed reports to guide product improvements.Stay current with industry trends and advancements in image processing and camera validation techniques.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven expertise in Image Signal Processing (ISP) concepts and camera system validation.Strong understanding of camera performance metrics: EIS, MTF, FOV, distortion, and sharpness.Hands-on experience with Image Quality Assessment (IMA) tests and various test charts.Proficiency in scripting and automation, preferably with Python, for test automation and data analysis.Experience with camera module testing tools and methodologies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with smart wearable devices or similar embedded systems.Knowledge of electronic image stabilization algorithms and modulation transfer function analysis.Familiarity with optical and digital correction techniques for camera distortion.
