Direct Manager: Technical Assistant Manager
Responsible for: Individual contribution to support Post team
Role Summary
This position has a strong focus on maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment on all systems. A very high percentage of “wrench time” is expected. Individuals are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in HVAC maintenance & troubleshooting and be multi-skilled in other areas (pipe fitting/plumbing, electrical) in order to successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments. The individual in this role must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required. This position will also have responsibilities at multiple buildings. Some overtime is to be expected.
Responsibilities
The Technician will be responsible for:
Maintain and complete documentation for all assigned work orders, daily tool inventories, and special projects using the Corrigo work order systemPerform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, emergency backup systems including monitoring operation, but not limited to hot water heaters; pumps, valves, piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment; record readings and adjust where necessary to assure proper operation of equipment. Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.Assemble all tools, supplies and instruments necessary to complete the job, performing work with a minimum amount disruption, conducting immediate clean-up of work area, completing the work order task sheet, returning tools to workshop, and unused supplies to storeroom, reporting any equipment problems, impending supply or material shortages to the Technical Assistant Manager.Cross train back up, or others, as appropriate to the advanced level.Able to perform any required furniture/equipment moves, additions and changes (MAC).Require following local governmental rules and regulations adhering to H&S procedures, to participate and ensure that our services and activities are in compliance with the contractEnsure all ad-hoc works and preventive maintenance works are carried out expeditiously and on timeTo conduct daily inspections on essential equipment to ensure that they are always operating in a satisfactory condition.Provide Facilities technical support as and when required, including completing daily facilities requestsCore Competencies
The HVAC Technician will demonstrate the following competencies:
Candidate must possess 3+ years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in the technical aspects of packaged HVAC, plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance.Candidate must possess and maintain a class 3/3A driver’s licenseHVAC experience is requiredCandidate must possess Work at Height (WAH) certificationsTeam player with good interpersonal and communication skillsKnowledge of occupational health & safety requirementsExperience
Prior experience in HVAC & regulations for electrical installationsProficient in Microsoft suiteMust be able to professionally interact with tenants and contractors.Location:
