JOB SUMMARY:

Manages and coordinates the work of Engineering shift placing particular emphasis on overseeing the quality of the technical maintenance of casino facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Keeps equipment, systems, building and grounds ready for use by completing preventative maintenance schedules; restoring and repairing faulty or inoperative equipment and systems; recommending changes and new installations. Completes HVAC maintenance operation requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results. Responsible for compliance on OSHA requirements and company safety program. Skilled in various mechanical, painting, plumbing, carpentry and electrical. Monitors facility systems and equipment, and make adjustments and repairs as necessary. Must have the ability to operate heavy equipment. Complies with required codes and standards by directing and monitoring and inspecting systems and equipment. Implements changes, expansions, and additions to systems and equipment by identifying problems; keeping abreast of new developments. Must be able to operate heavy equipment. Assists with set up for special events. Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Reports To: Shift Supervisor or Facilities Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Two to five years experience in HVAC preferred. Preference given to certification in HVAC. Education, self-directed learning, career development, or related field. HVAC maintenance operation requirements High school or GED education recommended. Experience may substitute for schooling. Good character, motivated, hard working. All Certifications for Electrical & HVAC, as well as commercial experience. 

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Blood Pressure must fall under accepted guidelines by the American Heart Association or clearance from a medical doctor. Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations to stand for long periods of time. Must have bending mobility to reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned area. Read, write, speak and understand English. Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations. Must be able to lift up 25 to 30 pounds and carry up to 30 pounds.
