HVAC Service Account Manager- Evansville, IN

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide solutions to customers' HVAC needs.  Management of team personnel: Service Managers, Service Coordinators, Service Technicians, and Dispatchers. Manage and maintain appropriate control of account responsibility for profit and loss. Monitor and manage the Accounts Receivable aging status to ensure collections per company terms and reduction of Account Receivable aging to thirty days or less. Coordination of staff necessary to provide prompt and accurate invoicing of service contracts, repairs, and projects. Lead and mentor the service staff to expand their skill level and productivity. Provide direction and delegation for operational and functional duties as outlined by management. Review staffing requirements to meet the business plan and recommend necessary changes. Provide staff performance reviews per company guidelines; assist Human Resource Manager in maintaining accurate personnel records. Create, build, and maintain strong customer relationships with customers to generate new business. Negotiate contracts with clients and establish a timeline for performance. Establish and oversee internal budgets with the company and external budgets with the client. Work with sales team, managers, marketing, and team members from other departments dedicated to the same client account to ensure the highest level of service is being delivered.  Collaborate with sales team to maximize profit by upselling or cross-selling. Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To best meet the needs of our organization and customers, the right person will meet the following qualifications:

Ten (10) years or more of experience in the HVAC industry. Working hours 7:30am-4:30pm (additional hours as necessary). Knowledge and understanding of Profit and Loss operations and applications. Strong negotiation skills, with ability to follow through on client contracts. Proven results in delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals. Ability to multi-task and manage more than one client account. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a positive, engaging, proactive, and team-based style. The ideal candidate will satisfactorily complete an industry aptitude test. Demonstrating strong organizational skills to achieve operational profitability, document and record retention, and sound procedural operations. Building strong Customer and Employee relations is a cornerstone of success in this role. A professional appearance is required. Must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 High school diploma or equivalent is required.  Previous work experience in the HVAC industry.  Previous HVAC Account management is strongly considered.

COMPUTER SKILLS

 Must demonstrate excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)  The ideal candidate must demonstrate a willingness to learn other software applications, as required.
