HVAC/r Technician
Job Title: Industrial Facilities Technician

Pay: $30.84/hr

Shift: 3rd (Sun-Tues and every other Saturday 5:30p-6:00am)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Technician to join our team. The role involves maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning of various systems including refrigeration, steam generation, compressed air, and HVAC equipment. The position operates on a rotating shift schedule: Sunday to Tuesday and every other Saturday from 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM.

Responsibilities

Start systems and observe operations to ensure optimal functionality.Read gauges and instruments, adjusting mechanisms to control fluid levels, pressure, and temperature.Maintain and service refrigeration systems, steam generators, and other utility systems using knowledge of water chemistry.Monitor building utilities and respond to emergency calls related to refrigeration on the production floor.Dismantle malfunctioning systems, test components, and troubleshoot issues using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment.Perform pipefitting, plumbing repairs, and rebuild pumps, valves, regulators, traps, and fans.Ensure continued production operations in relation to refrigeration equipment, utilities, and HVAC systems.

Essential Skills

Experience in boiler maintenance, HVAC systems, compressors, plumbing, and facilities maintenance.Proficiency in preventive maintenance, plant equipment management, refrigeration, and generator operations.Familiarity with low-pressure boiler operation, cooling towers, and ammonia refrigeration systems.Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and install valves and other mechanical components.EPA universal certification and water treatment knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

State of Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operator or Third-Class Stationary Engineer License is a plus.Manufacturing experience is preferred.At least 3 years of experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of boilers, refrigeration, HVAC, and utility equipment/systems.Experience in ammonia refrigeration and electrical controls is preferred.EPA refrigerant recovery certification preferred.HAZMAT training certification preferred, with willingness to join a HAZMAT team.Must have legible handwriting and attention to detail.Ability to climb stairs, stand for extended periods, and observe safety protocols.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, temperature-controlled facility that is FDA regulated with mostly automated machines. The role requires the ability to work 12-hour shifts and participate in some daily and weekend overtime. All candidates will train on days for 4-8 weeks. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
