HVAC Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Onsite in Pontiac, MI

Shift: 2nd shift

Compensation: $38.50/hr

Position Overview

JLL is seeking an experienced HVAC Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair building systems and equipment under the direction of Facility and Operations Managers. This role requires expertise in HVAC/R systems, manufacturing process equipment, and building automation systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesHVAC/R SystemsMaintain heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systemsMonitor indoor air quality, temperature control, and scavenge exhaust systemsService cold/hot thermal units including temperature, pressure, and dew point controlManufacturing Process EquipmentOperate and maintain tank farm operations, bulk fluid totes, and dispensing equipmentService compressed gas storage/distribution systems and natural gas facilitiesMaintain regenerative thermal oxidizers, oil mist collectors, and central exhaust systemsSupport Class 7 clean room mechanical systems diagnosis and repairBuilding Systems & UtilitiesMaintain building automation and monitoring systemsService utility and piping systems, natural gas and water meters (including calibration)Support normal and emergency power systems, including UPS systemsMaintenance OperationsExecute preventative and predictive maintenance programsManage spare parts inventory and complete work orders within 24 hoursEnsure safety training compliance and utilize pre-task planning methodsMaintain IPMP compliance requirements and attend scheduled trainingRequired QualificationsJourneyman certification in HVAC, Electrical, Machine Repair, or Mechanical craft areasMinimum 5+ years facility maintenance experienceProficiency with pumps, motors, hydraulic systems, and speed/feed systemsCurrent forklift and aerial lift operator certificationsStrong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detailExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Qualifications10+ years facility maintenance experienceExperience with Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, and Siemens systems • Knowledge of MAXIMO maintenance management systemExperience with manufacturing process equipment and clean room environmentsPerformance MeasuresSafety training compliance and incident preventionPM completion rates (standard and environmental)Emergency response times (<24 hours)Equipment uptime and system reliabilityIPMP compliance maintenance
