Where is the work:

This position has been designated as On-site (5-days per week) at our Trane Technologies campus in Davidson, NC.


What you will do: 

Lead by example in workplace safety, in accordance with company policies and procedures Lead efforts to troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC systems and equipment including the lab facilities and products under test Lead installation, modification, troubleshooting and repair of developmental commercial HVAC equipment and components, following engineering, agency, and test requirements Lead product development activities by operating commercial HVAC equipment, controlling test facilities, and collecting and reviewing experimental test data Work with engineers and other technicians to install and utilize laboratory test equipment including data acquisition systems, power analyzers, flow equipment, pressure, and temperature measurement devices Interpret test standards and support the creation and improvement of test procedures Mentor others on HVAC systems, refrigeration, instrumentation, and test processes


What you will bring: 

Candidates without a degree are encouraged to apply; we prioritize practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles

Associate’s Degree in HVAC (or related technical discipline) and at least 8-years of relevant work experience is required; OR at least 12-years of commercial HVAC or compressor experience is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required EPA Type Universal Certification or willingness to become certified


Compensation: 

Annual Pay Range: $47,000 - $97,000 USD
