Summary This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. Responsibilities As a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST at the GS-0201-12 some of your typical work assignments may include: Responds to leadership's inquiries relating to the training systems and training policies. Serves as central point of contact for LMS workforce training development efforts within the command and subordinate command. Supports human resources and workforce development events, scheduling, preparation, facility coordination, and program initiation efforts in support of overall human resources development efforts. Serves as a point of contact for integrating Distance Learning (DL) with the LMS. The employee is responsible for integrating all distance learning training in the LMS, to include web-based training, CD-ROM, Computer Based Training (CBT), and virtual classroom when deemed appropriate. Works with supervisors and senior management officials to promote an understanding of LMS capabilities for effective and efficient workforce planning, with particular focus on skills acquisition competences and human resources development (HRD). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GS- 12, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Serve as a command's Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator; and knowledge of various automation software systems and processing procedures to work with the LMS proponent and other organizations supporting the system for the command. Provide Training and Development and LMS related advisory and customer service to all users, including military and civilian leadership. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
