Summary Title 5 Excepted Service Job Opportunity Announcement This National Guard position is for a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST, Position Description Number T0057000 and is part of the NJJFHQ, National Guard. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Human Resources Specialist in a developmental capacity. Applicant subject to National Agency Check (NAC) Responsibilities As a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST, GS-0201-7, you will: Performs developmental assignments. Performs recurring assignments. Participates in special initiatives, studies, and projects. Assists in preparing reports and briefings outlining study findings and recommendations. Prepares written correspondence and other documentation. Drafts or prepares a variety of documents to include newsletter items, responses to routine inquiries, reports, letters, and other related documents. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Additional Employment Requirements: -Participation in direct deposit is mandatory -May be required to successfully complete a probationary period -Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation -Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service Areas of Consideration CAT 7: CAT 7, Current Federal Employees and Applicants eligible for Re-employment including Temp Techs Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform the duties of the position. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or laws. Experience that provided a working knowledge of administrative functions. Experience performing personnel transactions. Experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control.
