This position will serve in a small agency as a part of a three-person Human Resources team, performing advanced, professional functions and services. This position will provide consultation in the areas of:
+ Classification
+ Recruitment and selection
+ Research, compare and make compensation recommendations
+ Review and audit transactions work of other HR staff
+ Conduct classification audits

This position is telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) eligible and offers a hybrid work schedule which may include telework up to 50% of the scheduled workdays each month, based on agency and department needs and other dependencies. Scheduled in-office work days are at PERA’s office building in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Candidates located outside the state of Minnesota and more than 50 miles from PERA’s St. Paul office are not eligible to telework and would be required to report to the office full-time.
**Minimum Qualifications**

Two (2) years of progressively responsible human resources experience
*A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Communications or Organizational Development may substitute for one (1) year of experience.
Human Resources experience must clearly demonstrate:
+ Knowledge of and experience with SEMA4 and Recruiting Solutions, or other HRIS/Recruitment software
+ Strong analysis and technical writing skills sufficient to analyze job responsibilities for appropriate classification
+ Knowledge of personnel laws, rules, and collective bargaining agreements as applied to advising employees and ensuring compliance
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadline objectives
+ Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact professionally with managers, supervisors, employees, applicants, and the general public
+ Strong commitment to a respectful, inclusive and diverse work environment
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience using SEMA4 and Recruiting Solutions, processing and approving routine and non-routine human resources transactions
+ Experience providing benefits, worker’s compensation, unemployment insurance and/or FMLA assistance
+ Experience performing job analysis and determining proper classification of positions
+ Experience analyzing compensation requests for experience and equity
+ Experience coordinating and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace
**Physical Requirements**
Requires occasional lifting and carrying of articles such as file folders, ledgers, and small office equipment. Although a sedentary job is defined as one that involves sitting, a certain amount of movement is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
