Cleveland-Cliffs Rockport Works has an immediate need for a Human Resources Representative in the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Representative will provide services and support in talent acquisition, employee relations, policy training, and labor relations.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Provide support and guidance to managers of bargaining unit employees in interpretation of the Collective Bargaining AgreementParticipate in the grievance administration process ensuring timely response and follow through.Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation as neededParticipate in full cycle recruitment process of non-exempt positions including sourcing, interviewing, selection and onboardingParticipate and assist in driving employee engagement effortsEnsure regulatory compliance with all applicable federal, state and local law and corporate policies including maintaining files, records and postingsAttends grievance, discipline and other department meetingsRecords information in various databases and updates all files and records relating to Human ResourcesMaintain employee personnel files ensuring compliance with records retention policyCommunicate with employees/retirees to develop and maintain a positive relationship, answer their questions, and work to resolve employment-related problems they may encounterMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field, or combination of education and related experienceAbility to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environmentTeam player with ability to effectively deal with a wide variety of peopleStrong computer proficiencyAbility to maintain the highest level of confidentialityExceptional communication skillsAvailability as needed to support a 24/7 manufacturing operationPreferred Qualifications:
