The Human Resources team is based in Tikoe Industrial Area, Maseru, Lesotho. Our responsibility is to support daily operations by managing human capital. Objective of the Function

This role is responsible for supporting employees with  general HR inquiries, and managing  transactions related to the complete life cycle of an employee. Assists in developing local policies and HR practices.  This role will identify opportunities to increase efficiency in service delivery by focusing on continuous improvement of HR processes.

What will your responsibilities be?

Responsible for the execution of critical HR processes, including compensation, performance management, talent acquisition, talent development and Manpower PlanningAdvocates and drives for the resolution of employee issues and concerns including internal investigations, corrective actions and coaching.Builds credible relationships with front, mid and senior-level leaders through trust, collaboration and effective communication.Applies sound judgment to identify issues and prescribe HR solutions in ambiguous situations with confidence.Conduct HR transactions including: orientation, exit meetings, etc.Serve as the primary point of contact for guidance on HR policies, processes and self-service tools to employees and managers, escalating when necessary to internal department and external resources.Participate and assist with local events.Assist with departmental HR projects and initiatives as needed.Define, develop, and maintain concise documentation for procedures, work processes and reports.Collect, analyze, and prepare visual HR related information.Perform root-cause analysis using data, identify performance gaps and suggest process improvements that can streamline and improve customer service.Spearhead Wellness and DE&I initiatives in plant.Maintaining the Human Resources Information SystemsActively participate in Union negotiations and other incidental issues.

Which qualifications and experience are we looking for in potential employees?

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in human resources management/industrial psychology/ EquivalentAt least 4 years’ experience in similar roleUnderstanding of Lesotho Labor Laws, Labour Relations & Collective Labour Law- ability to appear in DDPR will be an added advantageAbility to adapt to quick changing environment
