Human Resources Partner

The Opportunity

This position is the primary point of contact for the assigned Communities/Site Leadership Teams and staff, providing HR Generalist support and coaching on all Human Resource programs and services. As a Human Resources Partner (HRP), success in this position is the ability to represent and align the Community/Site HR needs with the corporate Human Resources objectives. 

What You Will Do

Working with your Regional Human Resources Manager, develop trust-based relationship with your assigned management teams.

Supporting and coaching on issue investigation, analysis, and decision making, following HR practice standards and Collective Agreement requirements

Use workforce metrics to support decision making processes on site.

Coaching your management teams on all HR program areas including engagement and recognition, HR operational standards, performance reviews, performance management,  unionized labour relations, and workforce planning

Create leadership capacity as a human resource educator and advisor to management and staff.

HR point of contact for all front-line staff questions or concerns ie. benefits, payroll, collective agreement.

Support leadership with the usage of Workday and UKG software.

Utilize Workday, UKG, and systems to track HR metrics, ensure data accuracy, and maintain compliance with audits and accreditation, ensuring timely and accurate information is stored in shared drives.

Support with recruiting site leadership positions.

Be on site regularly at the assigned sites.

What You Bring

Minimum 3 years experience in a well-rounded HR generalist role

Experience working with offsite management and staff preferred

Experience in Long Term Care / Assisted Living an asset

Labour Relations (union) experience preferred

Demonstrated knowledge of employment and related legislation

Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources or other relevant program preferred

Vulnerable Sector Check required

Valid Class 5 driver license for regular travel within Vancouver Island AgeCare (4) sites

Salary Range: $70,000 to $85,000
