**Opportunity**
Role Purpose
Under the leadership of the Dir – Human Resources LATAM, the Manager HR in
partnership with plant leadership will be responsible for the talent & culture strategy
for identified facility. This role will develop, direct, plan and execute people initiatives
as well as lead an on – site HR team that enables the organization to meet its business
objectives. Will be responsible also, for creating and fostering an inclusive and
competitive culture among all the employees.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop strong relationships with associates and union leadership by spending
time on the manufacturing floor, working with managers and supervisors, and
developing a strong communications strategy. Have periodical meetings with
the union, documenting all the action plans, needs and agreements.
• Drive positive employee relations to provide an optimal work environment for
all the employees. Effectively deploy communication plans and utilize
assessment tools (e.g. the employee survey) to determine organizational
issues and action plans.
• Manage day-to-day operations and development of the onsite Human
Resources Team.
• Build organizational capability through ownership of talent management
processes including talent acquisition, assessment, performance
management and employee development.
• Support plant operations through headcount planning, workforce planning,
and recruitment. Anticipate hiring needs as plant strategical plan requires.
• Owner of HR metrics, responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing data.
Ensure FYTO goals are achieved.
• Provide strategic and consultative leadership guidance and mentoring.
• Be a strategical partner to the Plant Manager, advising and observing all the HR
process and guidelines.
• Develop and implement solutions to organizational challenges by
leading/coaching others through change.
• Build organizational capability through ownership of talent management
processes including talent acquisition, assessment, performance
management and employee development.

• Identify critical positions and develop succession strategies for those
positions. Identify high potential associates for development. Recommend and
implement developmental assignments for selected associates to ensure
exposure to key business areas and senior executives. Link into Kohler Co.
overall HR OD and succession planning activity to share and develop high
potential employees. Ensure processes for Talent & Succession Planning at the
location are completed in a timely manner. Request and obtain talent cards
needed, as per guidelines.
• Develop and co-ordinate Human Resources related modules within the
Strategic Planning process to ensure that future initiatives undertaken are not
restricted by limits in human capital and executive capabilities.
• Resolves employee relation issues. Responsible for all necessary regulatory
compliance and risk management issues in accordance with geographic
regulations
• Develop their plan HR Team, including successors.
• To promote and maintain open communication, healthy and productive
relationships to all the functional support areas, such as: TA, C&B, EHS, Legal,
Labor Relations as well as any other related.
• Support corporate ethics & compliance strategy and lead it locally.
• Support HR LATAM strategy and initiatives.
**Skills/Requirements**
1. Minimum 8 years experience in Human Resources, with an emphasis on
business partnership, operational excellence and culture transformation with
proven abilities in leading best in class people strategies in a manufacturing
plant environment.
2. Experience in multiple core functions of HR, including Manufacturing HR team
leadership, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Compensation, Recruiting,
Talent Management, Succession Planning, Workforce Planning and Org
Effectiveness, Labor Law, Union, Benefits, Ethics, etc.
3. Understands the changing and dynamic workforce landscape in Mexico
manufacturing and its labor market. Resilient.
4. Experience with cultural transformation (turnaround) facility and startups.
5. Leadership experience, building effective teams. Highly motivated, proactive
and with initiative.
6. Proven ability to balance strategic and tactical skills.
7. Demonstrated problem analysis and resolution.
