Summary/Objective: 

Oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. Plan, develop, implement, and administer all employee programs.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

Assist all Legacy Farmers Supervisors with employee issues, questions, and necessary documentation. Be available to answer employee questions on a timely basis. Investigate employee issues and bring them to resolution. Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, retention, and termination Handle discipline of employees in accordance with company policy Properly organize/maintain all employee files and employee directory Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in recording hours of work, processing time records, compiling payroll statistics, maintaining payroll control records and calculating payroll Prepare and process all payroll deposits accurately and on time, including government taxes and reports Prepare all quarterly and year end payroll related reports accurately and on time as well as Employee W-2’s Assist the Safety and Compliance Manager in the management of our Ohio Workers Compensation program Administer and oversee all benefit programs to ensure the cooperative and employees receive the most value for their dollar. Develop, monitor and recommend changes where needed to improve cooperative wide personnel policies and employee recognition and motivation programs Prepare, manage and monitor annual insurance/benefits enrollment processes Provide framework for constructive and timely performance evaluations Collaborate with management to create an employee training and development program Create and maintain a compensation strategy that aligns with company goals and objectives Maintain employee handbook and recommend changes as needed

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred with additional business background Working knowledge of ag business Good computer skills Self-motivated and ability to work well with others and independently Required to uphold LFC’s Company, Credit and Safety policies Customer-service focused Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills
