POSITION SUMMARY:
The Plant Human Resources Manager partners with the Plant Manager and leadership team to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the plant in delivering on their business commitments. Leveraging their knowledge of the business and their respective functions, incumbents play a critical role in setting the Plant’s HR strategy and priorities. The position is accountable for executing the talent strategy within their respective plant, with a focus on talent acquisition, employee relations, leadership, performance development, workforce planning, compensation, and HR administration. Reporting to the VP Human Resources, the incumbent will partner with other members of the HR function to ensure the location is aligned both strategically and functionally.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as key partner to leaders of the Plant, driving the plant people strategy.Partner with leaders to design and create the organization that will deliver business success; proactively challenging the established organizational design to drive superior performance.Work with the plant leadership team to define the organizational and people related development needs, design and facilitate solutions.Identify and lead operational improvements to innovate people programs and processes (i.e., Org design, talent strategies, talent acquisition, etc.)Develop and execute resourcing and talent strategy for plant that ensures we have the right people in the right place at the right time.Interpret data and generate insights for strategic talent and DEI priorities.Anticipate and respond to changing business needs and influence lasting change in plant by serving as a change advocate.Facilitates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees, compliance, and general information.Oversee employee relations investigation and resolution. Manage the talent acquisition process for the plant, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.Performs routine compensation tasks including time and attendance tracking, payroll processing, and manual adjustments.Serves as primary point of contact and subject matter expert for employee questions relating to payroll, benefits, policies, and procedures.Establishes a communication framework that complements the HR operating model and meets the needs of the employees.Manages the administration of employee leave programs, including worker’s compensation, Short Term Disability, and FMLASupports the broader HR team as a member of projects and initiatives.Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records.Assists with developing data-driven reporting for decision-making to foster business transformation.Assists in recruiting efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, interns and temporary employees; Conducts new-employee orientation.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources or equivalent experience in Human ResourcesA minimum years of five years broad HR functional experience in an industrial/manufacturing environmentA minimum of three years of human resource management experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
HR certification such as PHR, SPHR or GPHRFamiliarity with continuous improvement methodologyProficient with Workday HRISCOMPETENCIES:
