Human Resources Manager
**POSITION PURPOSE** The Human Resources Manager is responsible for collaborating with local leaders to successfully execute local, regional, and Corporate human resources programs/initiatives while keeping the location in compliance with local, state, and federal employment law. Act as a point of contact for associate questions and concerns in areas of employee relations, payroll, benefits, training, work environment, and other Sysco programs. **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES** Talent Acquisition + Maintain visibility to talent acquisition for all departments + Partner with Corporate talent acquisition partners and hiring managers to help facilitate hiring process + Be a partner to all departments concerning workforce planning + Create goals and programs that support retention and AAP goals within assigned location + Create partnerships with local organization to improve applicant pool quality and diversity + Partner with staffing agencies on temporary labor needs and billing Employee Relations – + Provide proactive and reactive counsel and appropriate courses of action to Leaders regarding all employment issues. Investigate problems or complaints and provide guidance on best course of action + Assist with facilitating Sysco Speaks results and action planning efforts + Provide advice/guidance for employee relations, benefits, payroll, policies and procedures, etc. + Partner with operations team to facilitate monthly employee engagement meetings Payroll Administration – + Processing of biweekly payroll for assigned location + Back up for payroll processing at sister locations + Coordination of bonuses, payroll corrections, leaves of absences, PTO corrections and unique payroll processing needs Training & Development – + Develop and establish associate training and educational programs in an effort to upgrade managerial, technical, and productivity skills to drive results + Partner with leadership on associate reviews and evaluation, providing training and consultation when needed + Assist leaders with the CMP performance management process and associate career pathing Ad Hoc: + Assist all personnel with Workday functions and handle new hire onboarding + Partner with local charitable organizations on company donations + Communicate all Company information to associate base + Coordinate Employee Events / Bulletin Boards + Complete various tracking – headcount, retention, attendance, etc. + Manage location credit card and associated expense filings + Handle various projects and follow up with various departments to meet project deadlines Compliance – + Ensure company is following all State and Federal regulatory agencies and employment laws + Develop and Maintain Affirmative Action Plan + Monitor unemployment claims **EDUCATION** + Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in HR from SHRM or HRCI preferred. **EXPERIENCE** + 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist Role. Workday experience preferred. **SKILLS** + **Computer Skills** – Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required. + **Active Listening:** Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. + **Social Perceptiveness:** Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do. + **Speaking & Speech Clarity:** Talking to others to convey information effectively and the ability to speak clearly so others can understand you. + **Critical Thinking:** Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. + **Reading Comprehension:** Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. + **Oral Comprehension:** Listening to and understanding information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. + **Written Comprehension:** Reading and understanding information and ideas presented in writing. + **Oral & Written Expression:** Communicating information and ideas through speaking or writing so others will understand. + **Judgment and Decision Making:** Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. + **Negotiation:** Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences. + **Complex Problem Solving:** Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. + **Deductive Reasoning:** Applying general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. + **Problem Sensitivity:** Perceiving when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
