Responsibilities

This position provides Human Resources leadership for site operations in Brookville, PA.  This position will develop, implement, and manage company policies and procedures; manage all functional areas within Human Resources to include but not limited to recruitment & retention, employee engagement, union relations, organizational development, compensation & benefit administration and staffing; keep plant management team informed of changes in employment law as well as ensure legal compliance; make recommendations that encompass trends and new developments within the HR profession; and make decisions that are in the best interest of the Brookville Plant.

Partners with Plant Manager to align the efforts of HR department with operational goalsWorks with local union officers on employee relations, grievance resolution and actively participates in contract negotiation processResponsible for the interpretation and application of HR policies, recommending changes and monitoring complianceCounsels managers/supervisors on sound employee relations practices.  Ensures equitable application of all policies and proceduresAlign HR goals with plant and corporate objectivesEstablish and maintain open and effective communication with employeesManage all HR programs such as recruitment, benefits administration, compensation, diversity, performance management and employee training & developmentProvide leadership, vision, and development to plant staff through training, coaching, and mentoringEnsures all new hires receive successful onboarding experience.  Coordinates new hire job training & documentation with managers/supervisorsCoordinate performance management and compensation review processes.  Conducts local/competitive wage surveys, as neededConducts all required regulatory training & other HR related trainingPrepare and manage HR budget & seeks out cost savings projects whenever possibleAssume other plant/divisional responsibilities, as assigned Qualifications Previous HR leadership experience with 5+ years in HR Manager or Generalist roleCollege degree, SHRM certification preferredPrevious union/labor relations experience preferredAbility to maintain absolute confidentialityAbility to make quick, sound decisions based on current information and past experiencesExceptional communication & interpersonal skillsAbility to work with minimal supervision & prioritize responsibilitySelf-motivated and directedExemplary interpersonal and relationship building skillsSuperior conflict resolution skillsWorking knowledge of local, state & federal employment laws Additional Info
