Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Job Description

The Human Resources Manager will serve as the primary HR contact for all employees and managers, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures aligned with company goals and legal compliance. This role provides guidance on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution, while maintaining accurate and confidential employee records. The manager will oversee payroll processes, ensure compliance with federal and state payroll laws, and collaborate with finance for payroll data reconciliation. Additional responsibilities include administering employee benefits, managing the 401(k) program, coordinating recruitment efforts, and supporting culture-building initiatives.

ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary HR contact for all employees and managers.Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with company goals and legal compliance.Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.Manage and process company payroll accurately and on schedule.Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll laws and regulations.Work with finance to reconcile payroll data and provide reporting as needed.Support certified payroll compliance on rare occasions.Provide analysis of payroll cost trends as needed.Administer group health, dental, vision, life insurance, and other employee benefits.Serve as the point of contact for benefits providers and assist employees with enrollment and claims.Oversee and manage the 401(k) program, including employee education and annual compliance requirements.Coordinate recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening candidates, and onboarding new hires.Represent the company at job fairs, industry events, and community workforce development programs.Support hiring managers in building effective teams.Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Maintain documentation for audits, workers’ compensation claims, and other HR-related reports.Stay informed on HR best practices and legal updates.Travel as needed to company locations (approximately 1–3 times per quarter).Support culture-building and employee engagement initiatives.Lead or assist with training and development programs.Essential SkillsHuman resources managementEmployee relationsOnboardingPayroll managementRecruitingEmployee benefits managementTalent managementHR systems administration5+ years of experience in HR rolesCompliance knowledgePerformance management expertiseAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the construction or manufacturing industries preferredOutstanding communication and relationship-building skillsExhibit high levels of organization, professionalism, and team leadershipProficient computer skillsDemonstrated experience in developing team members utilizing proven mentoring techniquesWork Environment

The work environment offers an 8-hour flexible start schedule with limited travel to Central Washington locations, not exceeding once per quarter. You will have the ability to own the HR department and assist with hiring an assistant. The role is supported by great recruitment partners, benefits agents, and HRIS software.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
