Human Resources Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team in Long Beach, California. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions, fostering a positive workplace culture, and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in employee relations, payroll administration, recruitment, and compliance to support the growth and effectiveness of our manufacturing organization. Responsibilities: • Oversee employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive work environment. • Manage payroll processes, including multi-state payroll administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. • Coordinate benefits programs and provide guidance to employees on enrollment and utilization. • Lead recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires to meet organizational needs. • Maintain and update personnel records in HRIS systems while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. • Develop and implement employee training initiatives to support growth and compliance. • Handle workers' compensation claims and ensure timely reporting and resolution. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal company policies. • Act as a resource for managers and employees, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures. • Collaborate on system implementations to improve HR processes and efficiency. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources management or generalist roles. • Proficiency in HRIS systems, including UKG Pro, and payroll administration. • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations across multiple states. • Demonstrated ability to manage benefit programs and handle employee relations effectively. • Experience in recruitment processes, from sourcing candidates to onboarding. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with employees and managers. • Familiarity with workers' compensation procedures and compliance requirements. • Proven ability to coordinate training initiatives and foster employee development.
