Overview
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing day-to-day professional HR support and policy administration relating to all phases of the employee life cycle (e.g. hiring, training, employee relations) plus HR business partner support such as organization design, talent planning and talent management to the NA Business Unit Manager. Ensuring we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right place at the right time.
Responsibilities
Act as a trusted Business Partner to provide human resources expertise and analytical support in all aspects of the Human Resources function. Compile and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement as well as prepare regular reports for management on HR-related activities.Develop and implement operational and strategic HR practices to enable a best-in-class employee experience. Champion various employee engagement programs such as the United Way Campaign, Junior Achievement, Employee Wellness and Health Screenings, Open Enrollment, and ITW Employee Resource Groups to ensure a positive, engaging, and supportive workplace.Drive and facilitate the annual talent & performance management processes. Help identify development opportunities for talent within the business unit and track progress on development action plans.Engage with the management team and develop recruitment strategies for current and future vacancies. Support and maintain organization’s staffing through effective recruiting and interviewing processes. Build a strong pipeline of talent to ensure a diverse high performing organization.Oversee the bi-weekly payroll function for all exempt and non-exempt employees across the organization. Ensure compliance with various ITW payroll policies, processes, deadlines, and documentation.Identify, design, and deploy training and mentoring programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities and to promote employee engagement.Ensure Loma systems remains compliant implementing HR policies and procedures that comply with federal and state laws.Facilitate, counsel and coach managers and employees to resolution regarding employee relations issues including, but not limited to complaints, grievances, and allegations of improper conduct.Actively participate in organizational Health & Safety activities as they relate to employee training, safety guidelines and procedures.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or similar field of study required; SHRM or HRCI professional certification a plus.Minimum of 5 years in an HR Generalist role, preferably with manufacturing and/or service organizations.Ability to link business goals to HR strategies and execute them effectively.Experience in multiple facets of human resources including knowledge of recruitment, performance and talent management, employee relations, employee engagement and legal compliance requirements.Knowledge of US federal, multi-state and local employment laws and reporting regulations affecting human resources functions. Ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance. Knowledge of Canada labor law is a plus.You must be able to act with discretion in the handling of highly sensitive employee data and serve as a role model of Loma’s behaviors (Hands-on, One Team, Positive Mindset, Delivering on our Commitments, Taking the initiative) and ITW Values.Ability to evaluate and interpret information, diagnose needs, and make recommendations promptly and accurately.Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience creating and analyzing reports from HRIS systems; Workday and ADP and/or Ceridian Dayforce a plus.Compensation Information:
Base Salary: $90,000 - $120,000
Up to 10% Bonus Opportunity
