Description We are looking for an organized and meticulous Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in supporting HR operations, ensuring smooth administrative processes, and contributing to employee engagement activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to grow within the HR field while maintaining high standards of excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring all parties are informed and prepared.
• Draft, send, and manage clear and concise correspondence with candidates and employees.
• Maintain and update employee files, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist with renewing employee documentation and organizing related files.
• Provide administrative support to the HR team, including handling scheduling conflicts and updates.
• Plan and execute monthly organizational events to promote team engagement.
• Conduct onboarding activities, including background checks and HRIS system updates.
• Support employee relations processes by addressing inquiries and escalating issues when necessary.
• Collaborate with vendors to maintain files and ensure service agreements are in order.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now and other HR systems to manage payroll and employee information efficiently. Requirements • Proven experience in HR administration or a related field.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems, including ADP Workforce Now and ADP Online.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for drafting correspondence and coordinating schedules.
• Familiarity with onboarding processes, background checks, and employee relations.
• Experience in event planning and coordination within a detail-oriented environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other administrative tools. TalentMatch®
