Human Resources Generalist

\n\t\t\t\t\t

The Human Resource Generalist will provide professional and efficient support to the HR Department and employees, ensuring smooth and effective business operations. This role encompasses both administrative and strategic responsibilities, assisting with key functions such as staffing, training and development, compensation and benefits, and operational duties to coordinate and support annual events. The HR Generalist will also perform front desk duties in the absence of the HR Assistant.\n\n•\tProvide dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers, staffing, benefits, leave of absence, training and development, and employee relation matters.\n•\tRespond to Ask HR related tickets and appeals in a timely manner.\n•\tAssist in communication, interpretation and update of policies, procedures, and Ask HR knowledge Articles. \n•\tAssist HR Business Partners (HRBP) with Joint Commission Accreditation preparation and process. \n•\tMaintain human resources information systems (HRIS) which includes business process builds, business process testing, and compile reports as needed. \n•\tAssist with preparation or update of employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating; including the review of error reports and make corrections in HRIS.\n•\tPerform benefit quality checks, ensure efficient day to day benefit administration, including 403b retirement eligibility process, which includes confirming years of service and hours worked.\n•\tEnsure The Hartford provides exceptional LOA services to employees; respond to The Hartford’s and employees request for information; address employee escalations; and support and document the ADA accommodated leave process. \n•\tPerform all duties related to LOA, accommodations, return to work and termination processes. \n•\tConduct weekly review of LOA return list; contact employees to confirm return date. Notify managers of extended leave dates; maintain correct status by initiating leave or return HRIS.\n•\tRespond to EDD Unemployment request for information by mail and online, including providing request for information from Equifax to address unemployment appeals.\n•\tAssist with coordination and facilitation of committees and employee resource groups, which includes wellness champions, HR Presents/Education Days, Inclusion Diversity & Health Equity\n•\tCoordinate and assist in HR Department will annual events such as Benefits Open Enrollment, employee service award and employee rewards & recognition event, Wellbeing events, and hospital week celebrations. \n•\tMaintain HR Department website and HealthySteps – Benefits Website.\n•\tAssist HRBPs, as needed, with staff investigations, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to policies. \n•\tSupport HR duties and projects as assigned.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
