Description
We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Generalist to manage volunteer coordination, payroll processing, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR systems. This role is key in ensuring smooth operations, accurate recordkeeping, and a positive experience for employees and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Oversee onboarding and orientation for employees and adult volunteers, including background checks and training.
+ Coordinate volunteer engagement efforts and collaborate with departments on volunteer needs.
+ Maintain and audit payroll and HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
+ Process bi-weekly payroll and conduct pre-audits to ensure accuracy.
+ Administer benefits, including enrollment, compliance notices, and vendor communication.
+ Lead injury reporting and workers' comp documentation.
+ Generate regular HR reports (e.g., turnover, EEO, OSHA, LOA).
+ Maintain employee and volunteer records in line with legal and organizational standards.
+ Provide support on policies, procedures, and employee inquiries.
+ Assist with leave management in accordance with FMLA, ADAAA, and workers' compensation regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
+ 3+ years of HR, payroll, or benefits administration experience required.
+ SHRM certification (preferred or in progress).
+ Experience with Paycom and Volgistics (preferred).
+ Strong Excel and HRIS skills; attention to detail and confidentiality are a must.
+ Solid knowledge of employment law, benefits, FMLA, ADAAA, OSHA, COBRA, and 401(k) compliance
