Job Description
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.Lead employee relations efforts, fostering a positive, engaging workplace culture.Provide guidance to management on HR strategy, employment law, and policy.Oversee benefits administration, including renewals and compliance.Coordinate performance management processes and staff development programs.Manage all aspects of recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.Co-chair the Safety Committee and support workplace safety initiatives.Administer and analyze compensation programs to ensure competitiveness.Maintain HR data, documentation, and compliance reporting.Serve as the liaison for HR functions on a federal contract at a VA Medical Center.
Work Experience
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with 5+ years of HR experience, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of HR experience, or 7+ years of professional HR experience.PHR certification a plus.Strong knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and HRIS systems.Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.Strong written and verbal communication skills.High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
