Human Resources & Communications Specialist (Bilingual English/Spanish)

The Human Resources & Communication Specialist will provide both administrative and strategic support to site operations and business leaders. This role is responsible for coordinating HR and employment-related activities within the assigned business unit and ensure effective communication with employees, addressing their queries in a timely manner. This role will also assist in the development and execution of internal and external communication strategies that enhance our brand and engage our stakeholders. It will also support various communication initiatives, including writing press releases, creating content for social media, and assisting with employee communications.
YOUR TASKS Administer and execute HR programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave management, disciplinary actions, dispute resolution, performance and talent management, and productivity enhancement. Serve as a key resource to operations, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, legal compliance, and employment law. Support recruitment and staffing functions, offering administrative support and customer service for HR, benefits, employment, and payroll-related inquiries. Review, verify, and process new hire paperwork for accuracy, ensuring completeness, and assist with benefits enrollment coordination. Assist in the coordination and execution of orientation and training sessions for new employees. Help develop and implement programs that support employee engagement, morale, and retention, including recognition programs and team-building activities. Assist in managing the company’s social media presence by creating engaging posts and monitoring interactions. Write and edit internal and external communications, including press releases, newsletters, blog posts, and social media content. Help coordinate internal and external events, including meetings, conferences, and promotional activities. Work closely with various departments to gather information and ensure consistent messaging across all communication platforms.
YOUR PROFILE 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, Talent Acquisition Specialist, or HR Coordinator in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Must be bilingual in Spanish, with the ability to engage in professional communication. Knowledge and/or contacts of industry media landscape and contacts to local media strongly preferred General interest in communication and social media Confident cross-level communication Editorial and pro-active mindset Experience in community management Sound understanding of media workflows Strong ability to communicate professionally with individuals at all levels, including operations, business leaders, and peers.
