Job Summary
HR Business Partner
Location Preference: Wilmington, NC
Must be available to work onsite as needed to support business operations, facilitate team collaboration, and engage with key stakeholders.
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor and trusted consultant to one or more business lines, aligning people strategies with organizational goals. This role is essential in driving performance, fostering an inclusive culture, and supporting workforce needs through proactive HR leadership.
The HRBP works collaboratively with senior HR leaders and business stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives in the areas of:
+ Team Member Engagement & Retention
+ Organizational Design & Change Management
+ Workforce & Succession Planning
+ Talent Strategy & Culture Development
As a critical liaison between the business and the broader HR organization, the HRBP brings tailored solutions that support operational excellence, elevate team member experience, and promote a strong culture of belonging.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Partner with business leaders to understand strategic priorities and provide HR solutions that support business objectives.
+ Lead initiatives that enhance employee engagement, talent development, and retention.
+ Support change management and organizational effectiveness strategies.
+ Collaborate with Senior HR Business Partners and the HRBP Director to deliver consistent, high-impact service.
+ Consult on best practices in performance management, team development, and workforce optimization.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Strong understanding of HR strategy, organizational development, and employee relations.
+ Ability to build trust and influence across all levels of an organization.
+ Experience working in complex, matrixed environments.
+ Healthcare experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
+ Understands the business and business strategy for assigned lines of business or areas. Speaks to the data and metrics related to assigned lines of business and understands related financials.
+ Acts as trusted advisor and partner to leaders as assigned on team member issues. Consults and coaches clients on performance management, talent development, engagement, and teamwork. Advises leaders in assessing team member engagement and retention and developing action plans to increase positive outcomes. Helps identify barriers and gaps, and problem solves to achieve leaders’ goals for increased team member engagement. Provides tools and strategies necessary to improve/maintain engagement and increase satisfaction and retention.
+ Analyzes and interprets workforce data to identify trends, generates insights, and recommends strategic actions in partnership with business leaders and HR Centers of Excellence.
+ Partners with HR centers of expertise to obtain information needed to make decisions to quickly move issues to resolution. Works closely with all areas of Human Resources to facilitate effective Human Resources relationships.
+ Researches and establishes productive customer relationships to foster a mutual understanding of business goals, strengths, and opportunities; provides timely follow-up on issues/concerns.
Qualifications
+ Education: Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field, required. Graduate Degree, strongly preferred.
+ Experience:
+ Minimum of five years of Human Resources or related experience, required.
+ Three years Experience with consultation across multiple human capital domains to include organizational design and optimization, team member engagement, retention strategies, and performance management, required.
+ Three years Experience in managing and implementing projects and strategic change initiatives. Experience in providing consultative services, preferred.
+ Three years Health care or related field experience, preferred.
+ Licensure/Certification: PHR, SPHR, or other Human Resources Certifications, preferred.

+ Digital Fluency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, specifically Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
