Search Contact Emailbecca.e.mccarty@colostate.edu Position Summary The College of Liberal Arts Human Resources Assistant is a full-time position designed to provide HR support to the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. For these units, this position will be responsible for hiring and onboarding all student and non-student hourly employees; providing administrative support for faculty and staff searches; entering and tracking leave in the timeclock system; processing, tracking, and maintaining personnel information, records, and electronic archiving systems; responding accurately to general HR inquiries while ensuring strict confidentiality; and providing back-up HR support to our existing HR Partners. This position liaises withCSUHR, the Graduate School, and student employment to ensure compliance with university, state, and federal regulations and policies. This position formally reports to theCLASenior Human Resources Manager. Successful candidates will be highly organized, detail-orientated team-players with a strong internal customer-service focus. Position Minimum Qualifications * 2 years HR or administrative experience. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. * Detail-oriented and highly-organized. * Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate, complete work product in a timely fashion. * Displays a customer service-oriented approach including the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships throughout the organization. Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management/administration, or closely related field. * Professional experience in higher education. * Demonstrated proficiency in systems such as Oracle HR IS, TimeClock Plus ( TCP ),Talent Management System ( TMS )/applicant tracking system, and/or Web Focus. * Certifications or licenses in professional HR organizations such as SHRM and/or HRCI . Essential Job Duties Job Duty CategoryStudent and non-student hourly hiring and onboarding Duty/Responsibility Oversee processes for all student and non-student hourly new hire appointments, including: * Collaborate with and advise hiring managers on the required information to post positions. * Initiate job postings in Handshake (student hourly and work study) and TMS (non-student hourly) * Submit necessary information to initiate background checks * Create appointments in Oracle * Distribute, track, and process necessary new hire paperwork, including verifying identification documentation to complete I-9 * Initiate contact with new School of Music, Theatre, and Dance ( SMTD ) hires and conduct the onboarding process. * Initiate the offboarding process for SMTD employees Percentage Of Time25 Job Duty CategoryHuman Resources Support Duty/Responsibility Search support * In addition to non-student hourly positions, serve as the Initiator role in TMS for state classified, administrative professional, and faculty position descriptions and postings. * Provide administrative search support for faculty and staff searches.
