**Human Resources and Labor Relations Specialist**
**Position Summary:**
We are seeking a candidate with deep experience in manufacturing and labor relations expertise. The person who fills this position must have exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated influential leadership capability. You will leverage your strategic skills to develop proactive, forward-looking strategic plans to drive continuous improvement to increase productivity for the future of the business.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
• Champion DuPont Core Values including a commitment to safety; respect for people; demonstrate ethical behavior and compliance; and protect the planet.
• Address employee matters with a sense of urgency in accordance with site, company, state, and federal policies and procedures.
• Serve as resident expert in HR/LR, provide guidance in a pro-active manner for all employees and leaders in areas of:
• Compliance working within the boundaries of the CBAs
• Growth and Development of Workplace Culture
• Employee engagement
• Performance management
• Skill development and improved productivity
• Partner with HR functional team members to continue development of a positive working relationship with the local unions.
• Must have demonstrated labor relations strategy experience to develop and deliver best-in-class LR programs and practices.
• Effectively identify, interpret, and communicate in a proactive manner the opportunities for improvements in the HR / LR space.
• Be an effective change agent actively supporting the implementation of business initiatives; guide leadership in sound change-management practices.
• Ensure compliance with company, government and / or local requirements and policies.
• Resolve labor / people-related issues and consult with leadership on strategic labor relations opportunities.
• Actively coach leadership (union and company) in resolving labor issues. Focus on talent development and improve leadership capabilities with real time support.
• Support critical HR / LR components; wage evaluations, job evaluation and external benchmark leveling to enhance our ability to remain locally competitive in the market for talent.
• Proactively identify market conditions that may negatively impact the labor relations strategy. Evaluate, research, and formulate recommendations to support strategic business goals.
• Conduct confidential investigations regarding employee concerns with a sense of urgency and provide summary results as appropriate to leadership.
• Facilitate performance management actions in a manner to promote internal consistency.
• Responsible for the communication of site/business initiatives with Union representatives as appropriate.
• Ensure appropriate steps are taken with union leadership to effectively implement program or policy changes.
• Responsible for LR activities: grievances, arbitrations, union information requests, CBA negotiations, all site policy / program changes.
• Collaborate with internal / external legal resources on employee and labor relations topics as necessary.
• Able to leverage technology to create compelling stories to employees and leadership; this may include analyzing data in Excel, creating presentations in PowerPoint, etc.
• All other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
• BS / BA in Human Resources or related discipline required.
• 7+ years of direct HR and LR experience partnering with clients at all levels of the organization in a dynamic, manufacturing environment.
• Manufacturing experience required.
• Experience negotiating contracts / labor agreements preferred.
• Experience using PowerPoint and Excel in presentations.
• Experience supporting cross functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders; thrive on being a strong collaborator.
• Must be able to balance competing priorities and conflicting opinions and facilitate the best decisions for employees and the business in an environment of ambiguity and rapid change; proven ability to create clarity for others through ambiguous situations.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with HRIS (Workday, ADP e-Time).
