CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Human Resource Specialist I.

**Job Title:** Human Resource Specialist I
**Location:** Newton, NC
_Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Newton, NC_
**Pay Rate:** Based on experience
**Work Hours:** M–F 8am–5pm (project-based 2nd shift coverage up to 2x/week, approx. 11am–9pm)
**Education:** Minimum Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
**Description**
The Human Resource Specialist I supports the HR supervisor in planning, implementing, and administering HR programs, including employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, compliance, organizational development, and health and safety. Assignments are moderately complex, requiring judgment and independent problem-solving. Routine tasks are performed with minimal oversight; new assignments include general guidance.
**Requirements**
• Support HR programs including employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and organizational development
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
• Ensure compliance with EEO, affirmative action, and employment regulations
• Provide reporting and administrative support for HR projects
• Respond to employee inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed
• Contribute to HR initiatives and process improvements
**Required Qualifications**
**Education**
• Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
**Qualifications**
• Up to 3 years of HR or administrative support experience
• Knowledge of HR practices and compliance requirements
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
