Job Title: Human Resources Intern

General Function:
The Human Resources Intern provides assistance with and facilitates the human resources process in the corporate office in West Des Moines. Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service to employees. Will work with current employees to ensuring plans are administered in accordance with company, federal, and state regulations. This role provides administrative support to human resources function as needed including record keeping and file maintenance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all employee interactions.Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.Assists in the inputting, changing, and deleting of employee information in the workforce management system (time and attendance).Helps with the onboarding process including new hire orientation and creating employee files.Assists with processing of terminations.Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.Conducts tours of facility for schools and civic organizations.Provides management with standard reports.Completes employment verifications.Assists with gathering the information for Subpoenas and submitting to legal.Adheres to company policies and individual facility guidelines.Reports to work when scheduled and on time.Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.Coordinates or assists with events.Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

This position frequently involves a fast work pace in an office setting. Must be able to handle multiple jobs/situations every day.
