Job DescriptionAn established organization is seeking an HR Assistant to support the Human Resources Vice President with administrative and operational tasks. This role involves payroll and benefits support, employee record management, drafting communications, and general HR support functions. There is an opportunity for growth into more complex HR responsibilities.
Responsibilities• Assist with processing and auditing payroll in collaboration with HR and payroll teams• Support benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries• Draft HR-related emails, memos, and internal communication under VP guidance• Maintain employee records through scanning, filing, and electronic management• Respond to routine employee questions about HR policies and procedures• Provide scheduling, meetings, and project support to the HR team• Assist HR Business Partner with onboarding tasks as needed• Maintain strict confidentiality of all employees and company informationSupport recordkeeping and internal audits• Perform other HR duties and special projects assigned
Qualifications and Requirements• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or coursework in HR or business administration preferred• 1+ year of administrative or HR experience preferred but not required• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• High level of discretion and attention to detail• Strong organizational and time management skills• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS/payroll systems is a plus
