Summary – basic function of the role We’re hiring a HSSE Manager to lead health, safety, security, and environmental efforts across our EMEA operations. Based in Aberdeen on a hybrid basis (Monday to Thursday on-site, Friday WFH), this is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is ready to drive real cultural change. You’ll lead safety strategies across multiple sites including the UK, Netherlands, and Germany ensuring compliance, boosting engagement, and building a proactive safety culture that empowers teams. Job Duties and Responsibilities Operational Leadership: Provide hands-on support to service teams, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards. Drive the implementation of HSSE management systems and enhance safety culture across Aberdeen, Ridderkerk, Kerpen, and associated client sites. Strategic Development: Develop and implement strategic HSSE objectives, measure performance using facility-specific KPI scorecards, and report up to regional management. Cultural and Behavioral Change: Inspire and drive a culture of safety and proactive HSSE engagement. Lead initiatives to embed a strong safety culture, addressing challenges and fostering ownership across teams. Collaboration and Leadership: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and employees at all levels. Facilitate meetings, safety discussions, and regular site visits to ensure comprehensive HSSE communication and consultation. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks, ensuring robust emergency preparedness, response plans, and management of change processes are implemented and maintained. Audit and Compliance: Lead audits and compliance programs, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards. Conduct root-cause analysis for incident investigations and implement corrective measures. Training and Development: Identify and address HSSE training needs, maintaining training matrices and ensuring effective knowledge transfer across service teams Education and Experience NEBOSH general certificate (diploma preferred), Lead Incident Investigator, and Lead Auditor qualifications in ISO standards. Valid BOSIET certification Extensive HSSE experience in oil and gas, service, assembly, or manufacturing fields. Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong leadership qualities, and the ability to inspire and engage teams.
